Completely different stages

Vin laughs now! He has been for a while. I think it's the sweetest sound I've ever heard — and it's so funny. When he laughs, I do, too, and we just sit there and crack up together. We talk too. He'll make a cooing noise, then I'll copy him. We just go back and forth. It's like we have our own little language.

Sieben is with his grandma from when we went to the cabin for Labor Day. We actually were able to see his face in this photo. Grandma had already sat there while we took about 4 pictures so she probably thought none of them would turn out. Sy's big thing lately is that when he smiles, he purposely squints his eyes so much that you can't see them. Or he'll just cover his eyes with his hands. It's probably just a phase. I'm sure many kids this age do this kind of stuff but it sure makes it hard when we're trying to take pictures.

Oh well, kids will be kids :-)

Too cute! I remember when Sy would just laugh and laugh and laugh when he was little, it made us laugh so much!

I love it when babies laugh. There are some great youtubes of laughing kids out there.

How cute. Both stages are fun. Nothing beats a tiny babies laugh though. It's such a pleasant sound.

I was looking at your friends list and I didn' know you knew Deanne. How do you know her? Rusty and I went to EA with her. She is just amazing.
