Thanks for the comments guy. I was going to make a quick comment back but since it started getting kinda lengthy, I thought "Why not post this instead of just comment.
So, Sy picked a bumble bee all on his own. It went like this . . .
"I want to be a ghost"
I told him I thought he'd be scared with a sheet over his head.
"I want to be a bee"
So I ordered the costume and while we waited for it to be shipped
"I want to be a lion"
But the bee came and he seemed so excited.
"I want to be a cricket"
Next year I told him :-)
How do you get Halloween costumes for 3-4 year olds? They change their minds so much. You don't want to get the costume too early because they do change their minds so often, and yet, if you wait too long, the stores don't have much in stock. You can't win.
As for Vin, I thought the pea pod was adorable, and warm (like pjs). Since my friend gave me a bee costume for him to borrow after the fact, I thought "How cute, they'd match." But my baby is too long (27 inches) and therefore outgrowing everything very quickly. That pea pod said "Up to 9 months." No way. And the bee said "Up to 12 months", yeah right. Like they say, he's growing like a weed. I say, at least he's healthy.
So, I know Sy will change his mind 100 times before Halloween next year. We'll try to be creative if he'll go with it.

Jessica, in a way you're lucky that you can kind of "sway" Sy's costume choices. Emmi was going to be a ladybug and there was no talking her out of it. I tried because she was a bee last year so they were pretty similar. Oh well, pick your battles! :) Sy was a very cute bee. I love that Jiminy Cricket costume!
You just can't keep up with them, can we! My kids are the exact same. I can not believe Vin is 27 in. Savanna is only 26! He really is getting so big, I couldn't believe when I saw him at church today!
Props to Sy for being so creative!
